Trading Standards Officers from Westmorland and Furness Council, supported by Cumbria Police and the Anti-Counterfeiting Group, seized over £38,000 worth of unsafe counterfeit goods from the market fields at this year’s Appleby Horse Fair.
Appleby Horse Fair 2025 was one of the busiest in recent years, with the number of caravans and bowtops in attendance up on last year, despite poor weather with heavy downpours and brisk winds.
Cumbria Police, South Lakeland District Council, and Cumbria County Council are hosting community drop-in sessions for residents to ask questions or share concerns regarding the Appleby Horse Fair migration of travellers through South Lakeland.
This week the daily Community Action Groups begin which will give Eden residents the opportunity to raise any emerging issues to do with Appleby Horse Fair.
