With the 2025 Appleby Horse Fair a little over a month away, Fair-goers who bring trailers (towed caravans) are being reminded of the importance of planning ahead and not arriving too soon.
To improve engagement prior to this year’s gathering, agencies from the Multi-Agency Strategic Coordination Group (MASCG) are holding a community drop-in event on Wednesday 14th May 2025 between 5pm and 8pm at Appleby Public Hall.
As part of usual pre-fair preparations, a multi-agency effort has been taking place to clear the river and the river bed of any otherwise unseen obstructions or matter which could potentially cause injuries to people or horses.
The Three Greyhounds Inn at Great Asby will close from today (9th August) until 18th August due to a number of factors. The Inn looks forward to seeing its travelling regulars next June.
