With one month to go, Fair-goers bringing towed caravans to this year’s Appleby Horse Fair are being reminded of the need to carefully plan their journeys and not arrive too soon.
Representatives of the Multi Agency Strategic Coordinating Group (MASCG) for Appleby Horse Fair discussed plans for the response to the 2024 Fair with local residents at a meeting held in Appleby Public Hall on Wednesday 15 May.
Members of the Appleby Horse Fair Multi-Agency Strategic Coordinating Group (MASCG) have agreed to move the 2022 Fair from its usual dates over the first weekend of June to ensure that next year’s Fair does not fall on the same dates as the Queens Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend celebrations.
The Three Greyhounds Inn at Great Asby will close from today (9th August) until 18th August due to a number of factors. The Inn looks forward to seeing its travelling regulars next June.
