Daily community meetings start this week
This week the daily Community Action Groups begin which will give Eden residents the opportunity to raise any emerging issues to do with Appleby Horse Fair.
These community action groups will be as per the list below and anyone is welcome.
CAGs are an opportunity to discuss any emerging issues.
They are not the place to report crimes or incidents, these must still be done via the 101 phone system for Cumbria Police or directly to the relevant agency.
A CAG allows community members to discuss any worries or issues they have with police, councillors and other agencies. Following the CAG meetings, a multi-agency meeting is held and any issues arising from the CAGs can be discussed.
They are attended by agencies and councillors who sit on the MASCG. At a minimum, there will be a PCSO representing Cumbria Constabulary at each.
The meetings are being held at 6pm on the 1st Floor of Appleby Public Hall (Market Hall) in the 'Supper Room' on June 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th.
There is also an option to dial in virtually to join the meeting. Residents of Appleby and other Eden areas are encouraged to use the meetings to raise any issue they may be concerned about.
On 7th June the meeting is Virtual Dial-in only – as no room is available
