Pre-Fair Public Drop-In meeting

A pre-fair public meeting for this year’s Appleby Horse Fair will be held on Wednesday 13 May 2026 between 5pm and 8pm at Appleby Public Hall.

To improve engagement prior to this year’s gathering, agencies from the Multi-Agency Strategic Coordination Group (MASCG) are holding a community drop-in event.

This event will include opening speakers Steph Cordon- Westmorland and Furness Council - Director of Thriving Communities and Chair of the MASCG and Detective Superintendent Dan StQuintin - Appleby Horse Fair Police Gold Command.

Following this there will be an opportunity for you to speak directly with Steph, Dan and a range of officers from Westmorland and Furness Council, Appleby Town Council, Cumbria Constabulary and other MASCG representatives. 

These discussions are an opportunity for you to share your experiences of the Fair, offer any suggestions you have for positive change, and to ask any specific questions that you may have.
