Member led drop-in sessions confirmed

Engaging with all the communities involved in Appleby Horse Fair is a vitally important part of the MASCG's work. Understanding the needs of the people living in and around Appleby helps the MASCG plan to ensure that the Fair is a safe and enjoyable experience for residents and visitors alike.

The agencies and representatives of the MASCG are committed to engaging with local communities through regular member led drop-in sessions.

Appleby Library Local Member, Appleby Horse Fair Drop-Ins

Come and speak to your locally elected Westmorland and Furness Council members for Appleby and Brough.

Cllr Graham Simpkins and Cllr Andy Connell will be available to talk to members of the community to discuss matters relating to Appleby Horse Fair on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 18th September 2024, 4pm – 5pm
  • Wednesday 20th November 2024, 2pm – 3pm
  • Wednesday 22nd January 2025, 10am – 11am
  • Wednesday 19th March 2025, 4pm – 5pm 

This is a drop-in session, where one-to-one discussions with Cllr Simpkins and Cllr Connell will be available. No pre-booking is required. 

Appleby Horse Fair event at Kirkby Stephen Local Links. Local Member Drop-Ins

Come and speak to your locally elected Westmorland and Furness Council members for Kirkby Stephen & Tebay at Kirby Stephen Library/Local Links. (The Old Grammar School, Vicarage Lane, Kirkby Stephen CA17 4QX)

Cllr John Murray and a new elected Member (tbc) will be available to talk to members of the community to discuss matters relating to Appleby Horse Fair on the following dates:

  • Monday 30th September 2024, 1pm – 2pm
  • Wednesday 4th December 2024, 2pm – 3pm
  • Monday 17th February 2025, 2pm – 3pm
  • Wednesday 16th April, 1pm – 2pm

This is a drop-in session, where one-to-one discussions with Cllr Murray and a new elected Member (tbc) will be available. No pre-booking is required.

Appleby Horse Fair Long Marton Institute Local Member Drop-In

Come and speak to your locally elected Westmorland and Furness Council members for Eden & Lyvennet Vale.

Cllr Lorna Baker and Cllr Neil McCall will be available to talk to members of the community to discuss matters relating to Appleby Horse Fair on the following date; 

  • Wednesday 16th October 2024, 4pm – 5pm 

This is a drop-in session, where one-to-one discussions with Cllr Baker and Cllr McCall will be available. No pre-booking is required.
